BuddyRise Website Cookie Policy
Version: 2.0
Last updated: 3 February 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how BuddyRise (“BuddyRise”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (the “Website”).

1) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, keep them secure, remember preferences, and (where enabled) analyze performance or support marketing.

2) Why we use cookies on our Wix website
Our Website is hosted on Wix. Wix uses cookies for important reasons such as:
-
providing a good experience for visitors,
-
identifying registered members (if enabled),
-
monitoring and analyzing platform performance,
-
and keeping the platform secure.

3) Cookies we use
A) Strictly necessary (essential) cookies
These cookies are required for the Website to function, remain stable, and stay secure. They do not require consent under EU rules when they are strictly necessary for the service you requested. Because our Website is built on Wix, Wix places essential cookies such as the following on Wix sites:

Note: Wix may update cookie names, purposes, and durations over time, and your Website may use additional cookies depending on the Wix features you enable (e.g., member login) or any third-party apps/integrations you add.

B) Optional cookies (only if you enable them and you consent)

If you add analytics, marketing, embedded features, or third-party apps, additional cookies may be used. In that case, we categorize them as:
-
Functional cookies: enable non-essential features (e.g., certain embeds or enhanced functionality).
-
Analytics cookies: help us understand Website usage (e.g., page visits, interactions) to improve performance.
-
Marketing cookies: help measure campaigns or show more relevant ads on other platforms.
On Wix, when a consent banner is active, non-essential cookies/scripts are blocked by default and only load after the visitor gives consent for the relevant category.

4) How you can manage cookies
A) Cookie banner settings
When you first visit the Website, you can accept, reject, or customize cookie preferences via our cookie banner. You can also change your choice later at any time by reopening the cookie settings (often shown as a small “privacy/cookie” button or link on the Website, depending on your banner setup).
B) Browser controls
You can also control cookies via your browser settings (block, delete, or limit cookies). If you disable cookies, parts of the Website may not work correctly, especially essential Wix functionality.
5) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
-
Essential cookies: necessary for the Website to function securely and reliably (no consent required when strictly necessary).
-
Functional / Analytics / Marketing cookies: used only if you consent, and you can withdraw consent anytime via the cookie settings.
6) Third parties & international transfers
Because our Website runs on Wix, Wix processes certain technical data (including cookie data) to provide hosting, security, and platform functions. If you enable third-party tools (e.g., analytics or marketing providers), those providers may also process data via cookies.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) as described in our Privacy Notice.
