We collect and process when you use the BuddyRise app:

Account data: name, email (Firebase Authentication / Google Sign-In).

User content: photos/videos you choose to upload (e.g., meals, symptoms) and your profile photo.

App activity & diagnostics: crash logs and performance metrics (Firebase Crashlytics/Performance).

Device data: basic device identifiers needed for push notifications.
How we use data
Provide core features (tracking, media you add, community), improve reliability and safety (analytics/crash reporting), and send optional notifications (you can disable in settings).
Android permissions

Photos & Videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/VIDEO): only when you choose items via the system picker; no background/library scanning.

Camera: only when you tap the camera button to capture a photo/video.

Notifications: to deliver push notifications you opt into.
Sharing & processors
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We use processors solely to run the app, including Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) and Google Sign-In.
Data retention & security
We keep data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Content you uploaded can be deleted by you at any time. Data is protected with industry-standard security and encrypted in transit (and at rest where supported).
Account & data deletion
In-app: Settings → Account → Delete account (removes your account and associated data).

Account
Data
To delete your BuddyRise account, please email us at celeste@buddyrise.com with your registered email address and "Account Deletion Request" in the subject.
We will process your request within 7 days and confirm once deletion is complete (all data associated with your account can be permanently deleted).
